WILL SPRING COME BACK IN UKRAINE?

I watch the stars shine

up in the sky

lying in the trench

with my brothers in arms

It's cold in the shelter

and you can't see the stars

lying on the ground

with my brothers in suffering

It's cold on earth

and everything is darkness

buried without a shroud

with other dead

that accompany me

It's cold in Ukraine

and the stars shine on us

raise your gaze, defending the homeland

a girl holds my hand

sad and excited look

and ask innocently

Will spring return in Ukraine?
