Only the dead remain in Bakhmut

dead in life, among the ruins

dead looking at us

from their graves

The living are already dead

maybe they don't know

buried alive

living in basements

no light, no water

without life being alive

Bakhmut will no longer be the same

it will be a memory of the war

will be a symbol of resistance

to the invasion war

memory of the living

and soul of Ukraine, Bakhmut.
