A LONG NIGHT OF THREE YEARS

Night fell over Ukraine

three years ago

a night of blood

red and dark spread

the stars were missiles

destroying dreams

killing life

A dense and dark night

that blocks the sunlight

that buries the spring

and the night becomes eternal

Ukraine is bleeding

on a night of war

that seems eternal

that sounds like shrapnel

to destroyed buildings

razed cities

on Ukrainian lands

It's been three years

and it could be three hundred

that Ukraine does not surrender

although now a false peace

defiled her!
