A CHILD HAS ALSO BEEN BORN IN UKRAINE

A redeeming child is born

without star of Bethlehem

illuminated by explosions

instead of stars

His father is at war

his mother cries for her wait

there are no presents or gifts

just bombs and pieces

The child cries,

his mother caresses him

and his father thinks of him

by the light of a candle

that lights up your trench

It's Christmas in Ukraine too

another bloody christmas

destructive and invaded
