THE FLOWERS WILL RETURN

Someday the flowers will return

like back when I was a kid

and ran through the trees

that sprouted from the earth

Today the flowers have gone

ripped off by weapons

leaving no trees or branches

only crosses

that sprout from the earth

that houses the lives

slaughtered for Ukraine
