SPRING WILL RETURN

Someday heaven

It will be clean and blue,

clean of death from the air

blue over the spring fields

Someday the land of Ukraine

will be bathed in the sun

and no blood will ooze

poured out against the invader

Someday night

kingdom of stars will be

illuminated firmament

and not battle front

fighting for freedom

Someday it will be spring in Ukraine

but that day is not today

nor will it be tomorrow when it dawns

It will just be another day of battle

in a spring at war

on the battle fronts

of the free land of Ukraine
