BEFORE SUNRISE...

They attacked without warning,

invading,

spreading the cloak

of death in their wake,

without cause or motive,

except for the infamy

of tyranny.

We left our homes,

we left our families,

we left our dreams,

without losing our aspirations,

transformed into warriors,

citizen soldiers,

Ukrainian patriots.

Four years without emerging

from the dark night,

watering the land with blood,

repelling the invader

with few weapons

but much courage
