UKRAINE’S HEART STILL BEATS

Tears water the earth

where the remains rest

of the soldiers who fell

defending Ukraine

The sun illuminates the graves

where the night is eternal

for those whose hearts

beat with a warrior’s strength

fighting against the invader

The moon casts a dim light

upon the graves of the dead—

mourned by their mothers—

sacrificed by the Russian tyrant

All soldiers are brothers

regardless of opposing sides

forced to invade and forced to die

for Ukraine will never cease to exist

and will resist the invader
