It is no
ordinary day
fighting
for freedom;
it is
Ukraine’s celebration—
independent
and free—
battling
the boot
of Russian
imperialism.
Today it
is Ukraine, and tomorrow...
Will it be
your homeland tomorrow
if Ukraine
succumbs,
is
humiliated, and surrenders?
The answer
lies in the graves
of
Ukraine’s heroes,
and is
lived out in the trenches,
in the
shelters, and in death.
Ukraine
fights for its freedom,
which is
your freedom;
Ukraine
proudly celebrates
its
Independence Day,
fighting
for the freedom
of
Ukraine—and your own.
